IFPTI provides expertise to help government regulatory agencies and organizations around the globe build a professional workforce.

IFPTI is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization based in Portage, Michigan. The Institute’s mission is to protect public health and the global food supply by building workforce capacity.

Through the development of organizational analysis, curriculum standards, learning design and development, training, and applied leadership programs, our team provides solutions to successfully implement workforce capacity strategies.

Since 2009, IFPTI has worked with a number of government agencies to strengthen food safety capabilities.  For any food protection or safety challenges anywhere in the world, IFPTI has the expertise, leadership, and systems in place to help solve them.
